NATURAL AREAS WITH A UNIQUE CHARM AT THIS TIME
SEQUOIA FOREST
(20 minutes from the hotel)
This peculiar forest is located in Cabezón de la Sal, 20 minutes from our hotel. Declared a Natural Monument, here you can find trees up to 40 meters high.
With the colors of autumn, this Sequoia Forest becomes a magical space where you can transport yourself to the east coast of the USA, where these trees are most common.
MIRADOR DE SANTA CATALINA
(One hour away)
Another classic in our area is Comillas, where its monuments and beautiful beaches stand out in equal measure. This way you can mix nature and art, enjoying the Cantabrian Sea and the two monuments par excellence:
The Pontifical University and El Capricho de Gaudí, one of the few monuments that this great artist made outside of Catalonia.
LAMIÑA AND VIAÑA RIVER WATERFALLS

Located in the Saja-Besaya Natural Park, in Cabuérniga. Three waterfalls that you can enjoy on a hiking route through this beautiful Natural Park
MOLINO DE BOLAO
(17 minutes from the hotel)
Near the hotel, on the road to Comillas, specifically in the town of Toñanes. An impressive waterfall very close to the mouth of the Arroyo de la Presa in the Cantabrian Sea.
CAILAGUA WATERFALL
(1 hour and 20 minutes from the hotel)
This impressive waterfall is located in the Los Collados del Asón Natural Park, at the source of the Asón River. You can admire its 70-metre height from the top of a mountain.
CHARMING VILLAGES
MOGROVEJO
(1 hour and 30 minutes from the hotel)
This village has recently been named the Most Beautiful Village in Cantabria and has been included in the list of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain.
This small village located in the Camaleño Valley, in the heart of the Picos de Europa, stands out for its natural surroundings, its medieval tower and for housing an important group of popular Lebaniego houses. A real experience!
CARMONA

50 minutes from the hotel, you can visit this charming town in Cantabria, declared a Historic-Artistic Site for its careful popular architecture and located in a beautiful natural setting between the Saja and Nansa valleys.
TUDANCA
(25 minutes from the hotel)
25 minutes from Carmona, you can combine the visit of these two charming villages in Cantabria.
In the heart of the Nansa Valley and at the gates of the Sierra Sagra, this village has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site, due to the popular architecture of its houses. Rivers, forests and the popular custom of exploiting pastures in community, make Tudanca an authentic place that is well worth visiting.
LIÉRGANES
